SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We are currently accepting poetry, prose and short story submissions for our next Issue until November 26th, 2022. This issue's topic is Life and Loss in regards to Covid-19.

Email all submissions to LongIslandLiteraryJournal@gmail.com. Please include a short, third-person bio. All submitters should mention their connection to Long Island in either their bio or an attached note to our editors. Be sure to sign the email with the name you would like to be published under.
Please only submit three pieces at a time in a single word document. After you hear back from us, you can send additional pieces during our reading period. We will only publish three pieces by the same person per issue. Each piece should have a unique title.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted. As fellow writers, we understand the importance of providing prompt replies. You will never wait longer than four weeks for a decision. That being said, if your work is accepted elsewhere, please contact us as soon as possible.
Once your work is accepted, you are granting us First North American Rights to publish. After publication, all rights revert back to the writer. Your work will be archived on our website and social media.
Previously published work will be considered on a case by case basis. Please clearly identify the original publisher's information in the body text of your email.
Thank you for considering The Long Island Literary Journal. We look forward to giving your writing a home.
